Why Arts and Culture are Important for the SDGs?
The arts are a very wide range of human practices of creative expression, storytelling and cultural participation. They encompass multiple diverse modes of thinking, doing and being, in an extremely broad range of media. They are a potent catalyst for change with the ability to transcend geographic, cultural and language barriers and move people to action. Many of history’s most effective social movements have channeled their message through the arts.
DAC produces editorial content about all forms of the arts that support and promote the SDGs
"To make things happen you have to make things – and artists have always made things that help change the world. And it’s so urgent – 2030 is charging towards us and art and culture can be at the very front of the campaign against poverty, climate change and injustice."

Revising Sustainable Development Goals Through Art
Each day architects around the world create the places where people live and learn, work, and play. They design hospitals that heal us and houses of worship that sustain us. They create next generation energy-saving buildings to make our communities healthier and safer.
DAC delivers compelling stories about trendsetter architects, interior designers and other creative professionals that embrace the SDGs as design standards for a new
sustainable world. Education , government advocacy, community redevelopment, and public outreach is needed to support the

Sustainable fashion is a crusade for a transformation of the current fashion system for greater ecological integrity and social justice. Sustainability encompasses the whole system of fashion – social issues, such as improvements in working conditions and remuneration for workers, as well as environmental ones, including the reduction of the industry’s waste stream, and decreases in water pollution and contributions to greenhouse gas emissions. Promoting and supporting sustainable fashion is a priority to the diplomatic community, as mandated by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and championed by UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion Initiative, Global Fashion Agenda, Sustainable Apparel Coalition,
Council of Fashion Designers of America, and many other dedicated organizations.
